Have you spoken to someone recently who complained, “I just don’t have any fun anymore?” Maybe, you’re one of those folks yourself? Well, Bunky, if you haven’t laughed a little already today, you’re missing a whole new world out there.
Laughter is a great medicine for “what ails you,” as Andy Taylor or Aunt Bea might say. A good chuckle will take the sting out of an otherwise less than average day. Part of filling your life with laughter has to do with surrounding yourself with positive energies and positive people.
Try scheduling some time for yourself as part of your daily planner or PDF. Just as you record the meetings and appointments, also take the time to plan a walk at lunch. Or, take one of zen secrets of the late Steve Jobs, who chose a walk as a place for a peaceful exchange of knowledge, with one’s self, or with another human being.
Take time to make time to arrange a meeting with your spouse or partner at a special place. Or, maybe plan a long weekend together… just because you appreciate each other.
Fun and laughter are the flowers on our birthday cake of life. They are the spark that starts our engine. So, have a banana split for breakfast! Walk it off with a peaceful stroll through the park at lunchtime.
Put a little fun in your life, and everything else will get just a little bit better.
(For you youngsters out there. This is #18, if you’re keeping score at home)
