Some cynics will say, “Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can put off all together.” I try to not be one of those people. I find that when it’s time for something that needs to get done, you have to plan of action and go after it. Dream experts tell us that a dream only last about 20 minutes, but an unfulfilled dream last an entire lifetime… and that is the issue.

I like to operate under the philosophy that says, “Time wasted, is time lost.” We can change a lot of things in our lives, but we cannot turn back the clock, recapture our youth, or spend more time with loved ones, once time has passed… because then, it’s too late.

The message is simple… take time… no, make time to be there as your children grow and start to blossom, and as your parents grow older. Recognize that as you look around, you may be remembering the present as “the good old days.”

These are the best times of your life. If they aren’t, it may very well be because you have decided differently. The great song from the musical La Cage Aux Folles tells us in joyous celebration that The Best Of Times Is Now.

Stop by the florist, pick up the most beautiful flower that you can find… watch it, nourish it, appreciate its beauty. When it begins to fade, continue to recall its splendor, much like our youth. Remember that you shared this beauty of nature together and appreciate that there is beauty all around us budding, blossoming and fading… but never forgotten.
