“Life Is a Ballgame” Original Multi-Media Musical Concert ~ Moonlight Theatre ~ St Charles

Wayne Messmer and Chris White have collaborated to create a concert performance piece entitled, “Life Is a Ballgame,” featuring music of and about the great game of Baseball, just in time for the 2025 Baseball Season.

Wayne narrates original works of Bud Messmer (Wayne’s brother) that includes “A Cup of Coffee” about ballplayers who had a brief taste of the “Bigs” as well as “The Legend of Eddie Gaedel” the 3’7″ pinch-hitter that showman Bill Veeck sent to the plate for the St Louis Browns. These pieces are accompanied by music of Vince Guaraldi from the animated film, Charlie Brown’s All-Stars. The classic poem, “Casey At the Bat” is presented with an underscoring of a jazz improvisation by the Chris White Trio.
